Casa Wabi + Laurin Schaub
Casa Wabi Foundation is nonprofit civil organization that seeks to promote the collaboration and social commitment through art. This year, the winner of the Swiss Design Award 2018, Laurin Schaub, chose as a prize to take part in a residency in the Casa Wabi Foundation from August the 28th to October the 4th.
During this residency a series of pieces will be produced in collaboration with the red clay artisans of the Agua Zarca community. The result of Laurin Schaub’s residency will be shown in Casa Wabi Foundation in Mexico City.
Laurin Schaub was born in Switzerland in 1984 and started working with ceramics during his years in University. He graduated in 2008 from Ceramics Design in the School of Applied Arts of Bern and since then has been dedicated to developing projects in porcelain and contemporary ceramics.
